What type of student takes technology?

Technology generally is a required subject for all boys and girls in middle school. It is their first formal introduction into a study of natural and synthetic materials, production methods, and resulting products. Senior high schools generally offer technology as an elective. The individual interest of a student—whether professional, business, management, or technical—to a great extent determines the content of senior high school technology.

Career & Technical Education Program

The CTE Program better prepares students for college, allows students the opportunity to earn college credit while taking FHS courses, and guides students on their way to securing a career in the 21st Century!

Do girls take technology?

Yes, there are many girls who enroll in technology courses. It is believed that this number will increase greatly since they, too, are a part of our industrial and technical world. Today, women are playing a significant role in industry, as evidenced by the fact that they represent 47 percent of the current labor force.
